Room for rent is a story of a couple whose relationship is in bad shape. Until one day, the wife agreed to her dance intructress and her boyfiend to rent a room in their house. Unknown to the wife, her husband and dance intructress were each other's ex's. Their lives and relationships were shaken as the dance intructress started making moves to win back her ex during the very first day of their re-encounter.

Haliparot (Mana Sa Ina) explores the lives of sisters Karen and Leslie (Lucia Legarda and Anya Soler) who grew up from a troublesome past. Their mother was caught sleeping with her paramour (her erstwhile first love, and possibly the father of one of the girls). At the constant prodding of a concerned kumpare (an old police man), their father (Lucas Leonardo) finds them canoodling, eventually resulting to a blood bath.

As a performer for a big screen, Rosanna Roces manifested her talent for acting even in her early films. In Celso Ad. Castillo's Comfort Women (where she was still billed as Anna Maceda), she easily stood out from the rest of the all-female cast despite the fact that she was clearly playing a supporting part.

Even in the exploitative film Basa sa Dagat, Rosanna managed to rise above the hopelessly sordid material by giving a very decent and respectable performance. Quite a feat, I have to say, especially since she's half naked during most of the screen's running time.
